Pam McMichen Bio
Pamela McMichen, EdS, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Georgia. She has experience working with families and children in various capacities since 1995. Mrs. McMichen holds Bachelors degrees in psychology and music from the University of South Carolina, as well as a Masters degree and Specialists degree from Georgia State University. Mrs. McMichen studied with internationally renowned experts in the field of Play Therapy, including Dr. JoAnna White and Dr. Lauren Wynn. She has been a guest speaker at the National Convention for the Association for Play Therapy and has provided other training opportunities locally. She has experience working with social services, crime victim advocacy, and the legal system. Mrs. McMichen has worked in clinical positions through the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office, The Rainbow House Child Advocacy Center, Transitional Family Services through the In-Home Intensive Family Intervention Program, and Eagle’s Landing Christian Counseling Center. Mrs. McMichen has served for the past three years as the clinical advisor for a local camp for grieving children. She and her family are very active with their local church. Mrs. McMichen has accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and works daily to uphold Christan morals and ethics.
