Pamela G. McMichen, EdS, LPC, CPCS is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia with more than 25 years of experience serving children, teens, adults, and families. She holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and music from the University of South Carolina, as well as a master’s degree and specialist degree in counseling from Georgia State University. Pam brings extensive clinical training and experience to her work, including specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma recovery, stress management, and child-centered approaches such as Play Therapy. She has studied under internationally recognized leaders in the field of Play Therapy and has served as a guest speaker at the National Convention for the Association for Play Therapy, in addition to providing professional training and supervision to other counselors. Throughout her career, Pam has served in a variety of clinical settings, including the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office, The Rainbow House Child Advocacy Center, Transitional Family Services, and Eagle’s Landing Christian Counseling Center. She also served for nine years as the clinical advisor for Camp Horizon, a local camp supporting children experiencing grief and loss. In 2011, Pam founded Crossway Center, where she now supervises clinicians working toward licensure as a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS). Pam’s approach to counseling is deeply shaped by her Christian faith, which informs her belief in the inherent dignity, worth, and potential for healing in every individual. She views faith as an important source of meaning, hope, and resilience, and thoughtfully integrates Christian principles into the counseling process when clients desire a faith-based approach. At the same time, Pam is committed to providing ethical, evidence-based care that respects each client’s background, beliefs, and personal goals. Faith is never assumed or imposed. Clients of all backgrounds are welcomed, and counseling is always collaborative, client-centered, and guided by professional best practices. Pam is dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and encouraging environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward healing and growth.
